Get Your Math Centers Ready to Roll ... Giveaway and Sale!

Hi, Teaching Friends!

I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday weekend.  It has been SO HOT here in New Jersey... close to 100 every day. So my husband decided that today would be the day we'd powerwash the back of the house.  Don't even ask...  The best thing I can say about powerwashing is that you do get a bit wet, so there was some relief from the heat. I'm still vibrating, 'though. :)  Six hours later.

Are you getting ready to roll into your first grade math program? I recently posted a set of games that will help you determine your kiddos' level of mastery of the K standards. There are six games that address Counting and Cardinality, Numbers in Base Ten, and Operations & Algebraic Thinking. You can use them for informal assessment and for ongoing practice in small groups and centers to bring everybody in your class up to speed.

My granddaughter was visiting yesterday, and I decided at the last minute to get one of the games ready to play with her.

So I printed "Rockin' Rollin' Tens".

Cut the cards apart.

Laminated them with my AMAZING new Fellowes Saturn laminator.

By the way, this was the first time I used the laminator. Based on my previous experiences with laminating, I precut the cards so I could ensure the edges wouldn't peel apart, which as I'm sure you know is crazy annoying. It turns out that precutting was totally unnecessary with the Fellowes laminator. The 3mil thickness produced a totally sealed, very firm, and professional-looking product. I definitely won't bother with the precutting step next time - what a timesaver that will be!

In fact, the laminating went so well that I decided to do another game, too. "Bump! In the Road" was printed, laminated, and ready-to-use in under three minutes! Love this laminator!

Here we are, playing the counting by tens game...

... and the complements of ten Bump game.
