Free 120 Chart Game

Hello, Everybody!

As the Common Core standards have moved our kindergarteners and first graders up to counting to 120 instead of 100, I thought I'd share this simple little 120 chart game with you. Students will count dice dots and move ahead the appropriate number of spaces. The "twist" in this game is landing on a star or sticker, for moving ahead an additional one space (+1)  or 10 spaces (+10). Common Core standards are included on the cover.

    1. You're welcome, Lisa! I've kind of been dragging my heels on including the standards, but I guess I'd better get up to speed!

  3. Thanks for sharing this game. Our Year 1er's in Australia also now have this new 'beyond 100' goal in counting as well, so this game will get a lot of use in my room.

    1. You're welcome, Judith! Always a new challenge to meet, right? What do you think about the change to 120? Will most of your kids handle it okay?

  6. Hi Linda! Thanks so much for the freebie. We were deciding if celebrating the 10th day makes sense when the CCSS say 120. This will be perfect for a center :)

    1. I was thinking about the same thing, Catherine, which is one reason why I've made a few resources for the 120 chart. Personally, I prefer to stick with 100 as the big celebration day. It's been so huge in the past few years that there are awesome resources out there. 100th day just has a nicer ring to it ... maybe a smaller scale "100 plus 2 more tens" or something like that for the 120th?

In any case - enjoy the freebie, and thanks so much for commenting!
