Spring Writing Freebie

Are you ready to get started on spring writing? You and your students have worked hard all year, and now's a great time to create some fun writing to show off the results of all that work!

Here's a set of a dozen primary writing papers for spring. How will you use them? Here are five ideas for spring writing!
  • In your writing center, your students will be inspired by the cute illustrations! You might have them use the picture as an inspiration to complete a picture in the box, and then write a story about it.  For a different twist and extra support, create a word bank for your students by writing a few helpful words in the box before you copy the page.
  • For an easy writing display, offer your students their choice of the writing papers. After taking them through the writing process, back the pages with a variety of pretty spring papers and there you go!
  • Just for fun, use the papers for a spelling test or even a recording sheet for a center activity.
  • April is Poetry Month! Use the papers for a final copy of their own poems. The paper is just the right size for a SPRING acrostic or a list poem!
  • Switch up a handwriting lesson with these papers. Practice writing words that start like robin or garden, or copy a short spring poem.
