Ice Cream with a Cherry on Top Addition Freebie

Hi, Teaching Friends!

"What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?"

That's a question that nearly everyone has an answer for, and it's quite often a pretty passionate answer! Are you a fan of the cool sweetness of chocolate chip mint, or do you prefer the snappy little brickle bits in butter crunch? Salted caramel is also moving quickly to the top of my favorites list!

Your students all have their own favorites, of course. Hmmm, this would make a great data collection activity, wouldn't it?

In the meantime, here's an ice cream addition game freebie for you to enjoy with your firsties ... or at the beginning of the year in second grade! Click here to download.

It's an easy addition to your math centers for operations and algebraic thinking. Enjoy!

Shark Week Blog Hop ... School of Sharks Freebie!

Hi, Teaching Friends!

Are you ready for some adventurous deep sea diving into the world of SHARKS?

All teachers know that kids learn more when they’re excited and engaged. This is the week to help your students take a BITE out of learning with a theme they're sure to love!

My Shark Week freebie is based on an old-verging-on-ancient freebie of mine that's been given a Total Makeover - new graphics from Dandy Doodles, and a brand new board game, too! Designed for first and second grade, this set will give your students lots of practice with  "not" contractions, like wasn't {... that a HUGE shark?}, doesn't {... make me want to go for a swim!}, and isn't {... it crazy how much kids love sharks?}.

Whether they're playing matching and memory games with the sixteen pairs of word cards or using the cards to play "A School of Sharks!", your kiddos will want MORE of the shark theme... and more practice = more learning!

Click to download it now!

            fintastic freebie

School of Sharks is a sample from Oceans of Fun Literacy and Math, a set of 16 cross-curricular activities designed to support your science teaching about the ocean. These activities would also be great to use in a beach-themed summer school or for a MARE week. I hope you'll stop by my TpT store for a closer look at this and my other resources ... more than 300 of them!

Happy Teaching!
