Teachers Helping Teachers

Dear Teaching Friends,

The power is slowly returning to the homes here in Ocean County, NJ. Throught the grace of God, we and our extended family were spared from any major injury or damage, but the horrendous pictures you are seeing of coastal New Jersey and the surrounding states are not exaggerated. Towns look like war zones. Lives have been lost, and countless others have been forever changed.

Numerous schools have been flooded, and even when dried out, their contents will not be salvageable. Can you even imagine what it will be like to start again from nothing and build up resources? Would you like the opportunity to help those teachers? Or perhaps you are in a storm-damaged school and need that help yourself.

Laurah Jurca at The ESOL Odessey has graciously organized an outreach by Teachers Pay Teachers authors to help teachers affected by Sandy. If you would like to be part of this teacher-to-teacher effort, please click the button below.

And if you are in need of post-storm help for your classroom, please this click button.

My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been impacted by this terrible storm.
